A WOMAN who shelled out thousands on designer handbags has revealed she’s selling them and buying replicas instead.
Tilly slammed the price of the real deal, calling it “obscene”, and, in a video on her TikTok page, shared her latest dupe – which she’d purchased on the DHgate website.

Opening the box, she showed how it came with all the documents, and said she was going to do a side by side comparison when her authentic Chanel was back from the “bag spa”.
But until then, she compared it to a real deal black bag, which she had in the same style but a larger size.
“Oh, it looks good guys. Really good!” she said in the video.
Comparing it to the black, larger bag, she held the original up and said: “I just, I don’t think this is worth £10,000. I think that is obscene.”
Opening the dupe, Tilly showed how it was “double flapped” like the real thing, calling it “really, really impressive”.
The “heavy metal” chain looked good too, as she admitted that some of the replicas she’d seen online were identifiable as fake due to having a noticeable difference in colour on the gold chain.
“Yeah, I’m well impressed,” Tilly continued.
Another thing she preferred about the dupe – for which she paid £280 – is that she can afford to be a “bit more loose” with it.
“What I don’t like about using my one is how dirty the white one gets on holiday and stuff,” she said.
“Sun cream and just body oil and shimmer.
“I wanna be able to be a bit more loose with her.”
“Oh my God, I love her so much!” Tilly concluded.
“Unbox my new bag with me! Chanel classic flap caviar leather,” she captioned the video.
The comments section was almost immediately filled – with many people admitting they wanted to do what Tilly has done with their designer bag collections.
“I have a couple of originals but don’t want to keep spending the money,” one wrote.
“Oooo I need this but in black!” another added.
“I tested supermarket jeans and my favourite is a Levi’s dupe”

Jeans are a wardrobe staple for everyone, but do the supermarket brands compare to the iconic Levi’s?
Fabulous’ Deputy Fashion Editor, Abby McHale tested four styles and compared them , here’s her verdict…
“As a teenager, I lived in Topshop’s Joni skinny jeans and I got my first pair of Levi’s when I was in my early twenties.
But now, nearing 30, I love nothing more than supermarket jeans. They are great value and really comfortable. They also last well, which my £100 Levi’s didn’t (so much for them staying good for ever).
But while I am a convert to supermarket denim, how well do pairs compare with those at high-end, high street stores?
Here I compare a series of styles, from skinny and straight to cargo and wide leg, and give my verdict and ratings.
- Bleached Wide Leg, F&F at Tesco, £22.50 – 5/5
- Skinny, George at Asda, £17 – 3/5
- Cargo, M&S, £45 – 4/5
- Straight Leg, Tu at Sainsbury’s, £20 – 4/5
I knew there was a reason why I loved supermarket jeans so much and I don’t think this comparison test has changed that much. And with some of the styles, it is really hard to spot the difference.
Sainsbury’s Straight Leg jeans are a Levi’s dupe but cost £20 instead of £100!”
“I need to search. I never know if they’re going to be good copies or not!”
“Omg want!” a third said.
“Omg please tell me what website you got this from!!!!” someone else pleaded.
“I want to sell my real stuff and get fakessss,” another admitted.
As someone else gushed: “Oh she’s beautiful!”
