The Chase was on ITV this evening, and it saw Bradley Walsh return as the show’s presenter.
The actor and TV presenter welcomed a whole host of new contestants onto the show. However, he ended up being shocked by something today’s chaser, Anne, revealed.
Today’s very first contestant, Rob, opted for go for Anne’s higher offer. However, he ended up being caught by the chaser.
As Rob went to leave the studio, Anne made a surprising comment about the guest which left Bradley shocked.
The Chaser told Bradley she was upset the contestant was gone, and went on to reveal it was because she found him to be rather “cute”.
“He was young, bold and cute,” said Anne which got a huge laugh out of the audience who seemed just as shocked as Bradley was by her admission.
“Wait! What! What did you say?” Bradley asked in a visible state of shock.
Anne then repeated what she had just said: “I said he was cute!”
Bradley, still reeling after Anne’s admission, said: “Get a grip woman!”
Anne then replied cheekily: “I can’t. He’s gone.”
The contestant, Judith managed to get 20 questions right in the final round on her own, which is a huge score anyway, and it proved to be too good for Jenny to catch.
Jenny was constantly pushed back by the contestant and only managed to get up to 10 before her time was up.
Bradley was left speechless but he congratulated Judith by giving her a big hug.
He then said: “Extraordinary. Extraordinary,” and before revealing that £70,000 was the biggest amount ever won by a solo player.
Jenny then gave Judith a standing ovation and called her a “high-class player”.
The Chase airs weekdays at 5pm on ITV.
