NEW York Knicks fans are going to have to break the bank in order to see their team in the playoffs.
After taking a 2-0 series lead against the Boston Celtics in the Eastern Conference Semi-finals, the Knicks are heading home to Madison Square Garden.

The Knicks were heavy underdogs in the series against the Celtics, but they have flipped the script by winning two games on the road.
However, that surprise performance has also skyrocketed ticket prices.
According to TickPick, the cheapest ticket for Game 3 at MSG before the series started was $479.
Ticket prices rose by about 50 percent on Wednesday night after the Knicks win, with the get-in price for Game 3 sitting at $704.
The average ticket price for the entire arena is $989.
Some courtside seats are even up for sale, with those going for $54,500.
However, ticket prices have since skyrocketed even further on the secondary market.
On Thursday, the average ticket sale on the secondary market for Game 3 was $1,956 while Game 4 tickets sold for $1,716, according to Victory Live.
Many Knicks fans are baffled by these prices, but there are many who are willing to take the cost to see the games.
“$704 is cheap to a lot of Knicks fans,” one fan said.
“$704 just to scream at refs and ride the emotional rollercoaster—worth every penny!” another fan said.
“Knicks fans gonna sell everything to go to these games lol,” a third fan said.
“704 is not bad for NY,” a fourth fan said.
“New York fans will still sell out the arena and they know it,” a fifth fan said.

There is plenty of reason for the surge in ticket prices. The Knicks are in the midst of one of their best seasons in decades.
If they advance to the Eastern Conference Semifinals, it will be the first time they have done so since 2000.
The Knicks haven’t won a championship since 1973.
Their recent performances have given fans a reason to believe that they can make a deep playoff run.
In both of the team’s wins against the Celtics, they went down by 20 points.
However, they rapidly stormed back in both of those games to take late leads.
