Tesco shoppers handed £100 in time for Christmas

Tesco shoppers can get up to £100 worth of savings just in time for Christmas.

The supermarket chain is bringing back its popular Clubcard Challenges game which allows customers to earn points while shopping.

Selected members of the Clubcard rewards scheme have been invited to take part in the game, which is running between now and December 31.

If customers agree to take part they will receive 10 personalised challenges during this time period, giving them access to Bonus Clubcard points.

Tesco has said those who compete in each of the games will earn a maximum of £50 in extra Clubcard points. But customers can boost the value of their points up to £100 if they choose to use the vouchers at one of Tesco’s 100 Reward Partners, which include Disney+, Virgin Atlantic Flying Club, ASK Italian, Pizza Express, the RAC and Cineworld, among others.

The Clubcard challenges are all personalised, so each game will vary from customer to customer, and the amount you have to spend to meet the challenges will also differ between shoppers. Once challenges have been completed, customers will then be sent their extra Clubcard points.

The challenges come on top of personalised deals that Tesco customers already get via the app or by email.

The return of the Clubcard Challenges this Christmas follows two previous rounds in the spring and summer this year.

As the challenges involve spending tasks, the offer is ideal for shoppers who were already intending to spend in certain categories, such as food or entertainment, but otherwise the extra spending can outweigh the benefits of extra Clubcard points.

Tesco shoppers earn Clubcard points for every £1 spent at the supermarket and these can be turned into vouchers. Every 150 points gives you £1.50 in Clubcard vouchers and these remain valid for two years.

Once they’ve expired you won’t be able to use them, so shoppers need to make sure they spend them in time.
