Tesco issues four-week warning to all Clubcard holders

Tesco has issued a four-week warning to Clubcard holders, urging them to utilise their soon-to-expire vouchers to “unlock all sorts of Bank Holiday fun”.

The retail giant announced that nearly £17m worth of vouchers “need to be used” before the May 31 deadline.

Customers can put these expiring Clubcard vouchers towards their weekly grocery bill or fuel expenses.

Alternatively, they can double their value by exchanging them with various Clubcard Reward Partners, such as PizzaExpress, Hotels.com and Alton Towers Resort.

Tesco also revealed that over £27m worth of vouchers, already swapped for use at third-party retailers, are set to expire.

This includes more than £16m worth of rewards for days out and dining experiences, which will become invalid in the upcoming six weeks.

Ashwin Prasad, Tesco’s chief commercial officer, said: “People across the UK will be looking forward to two Bank Holiday weekends in May and thinking about how they can make the most of them.

“Tesco Clubcard holders can use the power of Clubcard to unlock all sorts of Bank Holiday fun, from saving on their shopping when they pick up their BBQ food, or to exchanging for 2x value with 100-plus Reward Partners, offering everything from fun days out for the family to meals out at some of the UK’s most-popular restaurant chains.

“With millions of vouchers expiring at the end of this month, we are urging everyone to make the most of their Clubcard this May and check to see if any vouchers or reward codes are expiring.”
