'Terrifying' trilogy of horror movies that 'make viewers sick' are streaming for free

A trio of terrifying horror films are now available to stream for free in the UK for anyone with a Netflix subscription.

As the nights draw in and Halloween looms, horror fans will be queuing up their favourite scary movies for this spooky season.

However, this line-up of brutally violent and often contentious slasher films should come with a stern warning as they’re certainly not for the faint-hearted.

The series in question is none other than the infamous and polarising Saw franchise, featuring Tobin Bell as the notorious killer ‘Jigsaw’, who subjects his victims to chilling torture devices.

The first three films, released in 2004, 2005 and 2006, are now available on Netflix and have earned a reputation over the years as some of the most difficult horror films to watch.

Fans have been discussing the most shocking and disturbing moments from the series on Reddit, with many scenes from the first three films taking top spots.

“None of the traps have made me throw up, but the grossest and most violent/shocking trap for me would be the Angel Trap. Damn shame,” one viewer commented. Another fan added: “Never thrown up but I’m pretty sure I felt a bit nauseous when I saw the needle trap for the first time. To be fair, I had a debilitating needle phobia at the time so that probably explains it.”

“I’ve never thrown up but I am in agreement the pig guts makes me feel sick,” one viewer confessed. “And when Eric Matthews breaks his ankle in the beginning of III.”

“The Rack made me feel sick the first time I saw it,” another viewer admitted. “Then I felt emotionally drained and said yup that’s the worst scene I have ever seen in a movie.

“First of all he didn’t deserve any bit of what happened to him. The thought of your limbs twisting slowly like that while you can’t do anything… Way worse than getting them chopped or even sawed off quickly… And the performance by the actor makes it even more sickening to watch.”

Many viewers pointed out a particularly revolting trap involving pig guts, which one fan described as “the only trap that made me physically sick”.

Another viewer shared: “My friends and I watched this one in the cinema when we were underage and one girl threw up everywhere. I haven’t watched a Saw film since because I’m more scarred by real life vomit than fictional traps, lol.”

More fans also singled out this particularly gruesome scene as one that may have crossed the line.

“Pig vat 100%. still just the idea of it makes me nauseous let alone having to watch it again,” one Redditor commented.

And another added: “Saw 3, The Pig Vat. The idea of drowning in Pig guts and chucks makes me just wanna puke my guts out.”

Are you brave enough to take on the Saw challenge this Halloween? If not, don’t worry – Netflix has a whole host of other spine-chilling options for those who’d rather not risk their trick-or-treat haul.

Saw, Saw II and Saw III are available to stream on Netflix.
