Terrence Beasor, actor in ‘Walk Hard’ and ‘The Middle,’ dead at 89



Terrence Beasor, a seasoned actor known for his roles in “Walk Hard: The Dewey Cox Story” and “The Middle,” has died at age 89.

Beasor was reportedly with his longtime wife, actress Muriel Minot, in his Santa Monica, Calif., home when he passed away May 28, a rep told Deadline on Tuesday.

The couple was married for over 55 years and originally met while Beasor was acting in New York City at the Equity Library Theatre.

They then settled in Concord, Mass., and spent seven years co-directing numerous shows in the Boston area before moving to Los Angeles in 1976.

Together, they performed on shows including “Days of Our Lives,” “The Practice” and “Gangster Chronicles,” as well as various commercials, and stage plays.

Beasor appeared in numerous TV shows including “Cheers,” Parks and Recreation,” “The Incredible Hulk,” “Scandal,” Scrubs,” “Gilmore Girls,” and “Murder She Wrote.”

During his 40-year career, he also served as a voice actor, with credits on the “Star Trek” series, “Winchell” and “Jaws: The Revenge.”

Originally born in Omaha, Neb., in 1935, Beasor grew up in Los Angeles from age 7 until graduating high school.

He also served four years in the Navy and spent years performing at the Pasadena Playhouse before relocating to New York when he was 30.
