Tense stand-off between cops and a gunman as he storms a newly built house and threatens two tradies
A police siege has developed in the north of Melbourne after two tradies were threatened by a gunman on Wednesday morning.
The two workers entered a newly constructed townhouse in Broadmeadows around 7.15am when they saw an armed man rush down the stairs.
The gunman threatened the two workers and they left the property to report him to police.

The area surrounding Metelman Court has been cordoned off and police and are conducting a search.
Police are yet to confirm if the gunman remains inside the property.
