The team is widely expected to select Miami quarterback Cam Ward shortly after 8 pm ET.
And they have wasted no time in giving him a key weapon.
Late Wednesday night, the team signed wide receiver Tyler Lockett to a one-year, $4 million deal.
The move could be worth up to $6 million for the former Seattle Seahawk.
“I’m excited to be a Tennessee Titan! I’m super thankful and grateful,” Lockett said.
“Let’s get it! God you get all the glory!”
Lockett, 32, will bring experience and leadership for Ward and the wide receiver room.
He has spent his entire 10-year NFL career with the Seahawks.
Lockett was a third round pick out of Kansas State in 2015.
The receiver was named to the Pro Bowl the following year.
Along with DK Metcalf, he formed a formidable duo in the wide receiver room.
But Seattle is moving in a different direction and was released in March.
The Seahawks also moved on from Metcalf just days apart from the Lockett announcement.
They traded the 27-year-old to the Pittsburgh Steelers for a second-round pick in Green Bay, Wisconsin.
Lockett will likely have a new quarterback to work with in Tennessee straight out of college.
