Taylor Swift | The Eras Tour (Taylor’s Version) official trailer

Taylor Swift is mere weeks away from finally bringing her Eras Tour to the UK for the first time.

Fans are ecstatic about the impending tour dates, which will see the star playing a number of shows in Great Britain, including multiple dates at London’s Wembley Stadium, Glasgow’s OVO Hydro, Manchester’s brand new Co-op Live and many more.

However, when tickets were originally released back in August 2023, they sold out almost instantly. As a result, many fans have been looking for tickets at resale retailers, such as viagogo and Vivid Seats to name a few.

With that said, fans are advised to read the terms and conditions of their tickets carefully, as many event and concert promoters say tickets should not be resold after their initial purchase. And, as a result, will void their access to the gig.

We’ve collated some Trustpilot reviews from music fans who have used these resale websites, and what they thought of them.

Ticketmaster – Trustpilot score: 4.0/5.0

Ticketmaster is one of the biggest online live event retailers on the planet, and as a result, has great reviews. Since Taylor Swift’s Eras Tour tickets were released, they have slowly but surely been releasing resale tickets through their official, regulated channels, as well. Here’s the reviews:

“I was worried that I wouldn’t be able to resolve my query because I couldn’t telephone them. However, they responded quickly to my online query and it was resolved fully within the day. Very pleased with the customer service.” (User Mr Dyson)

“Easy access to tickets. Had the best time in long time. All info before hand about the venue restrictions very helpful. Always use Ticketmaster.” (User Moonbear)

“I tried unsuccessfully to transfer a ticket to my friend who’d been unable to book her own as she lives in France and has a French mobile phone. Three attempts to resolve the situation through chat support failed: conflicting advice was given and two chats were ended before I confirmed that I didn’t need more help. In the end, after more than an hour and a half, we gave up and managed to meet each other at the venue, but if anything had happened to prevent that, she wouldn’t have been able to get in.” (User Caroline Blood)

“I didn’t get to attend the show because of your awful service. Since booking the tickets, I broke my ankle and could no longer sit in the seats booked. I asked you to exchange my tickets for accessible tickets but you stated that you don’t deal with accessible tickets and made no effort to liaise with the venue to arrange a solution. So I paid a lot of money for a show that I didn’t see as you wouldn’t offer a refund, even though you gave appalling customer service.” (User Tracey)

viagogo – Trustpilot score: 1.7/5.0

viagogo is the largest online ticket reseller in the world, and as a result, has an enormous collection of Taylor Swift tickets available right now. However, with some of the lowest Trustpilot review scores in this article, fans may be cautious.

Here’s a sampling of reviews:

“Brought oliva rodrigo tickets on site but then daughter decided she didn’t want to go she wants to see taylor swift. Was worried ì wouldn’t get money but it got transferred into my account yesterday thank you” (User Lynsey Jones)

“Bought a ticket on viagogo the night before the Eras Tour in Stockholm and received an email with the Ticketmaster transfer of the mobile ticket within 10 hours of purchasing (12 hours ahead of the show starting). It was a really straightforward process and despite my initial concerns about scammers due to reading other experiences, the mobile transfer meant the ticket went right into my account and there were no problems being let into the venue.” (User Amy)

“We purchased 3 tickets for Imola Grand Prix, 2 adults 1 child. Flew to Milan from UK for the race and when we got there we had actually been sold 3 child tickets with the text on the tickets fraudulently changed. There was literally a viagogo line at the ticket office for all the people who had been scammed through the website. So if you’re wondering is viagogo a scam website the answer is most definitely YES!” (User Christy Winn)

“Lesson learnt, will never use the company again, be warned. Purchased 2 tickets to see Sarah Millican back in January 2024, paid £205.15p including booking fee etc, only when I downloaded the tickets was I aware that the actual ticket cost was £32.50p each and in the name of Joseph Fox. I should have checked prior to purchasing, please read other customer reviews before you get ripped off.” (User Mark Parry)

Vivid Seats – Trustpilot score: 4.1/5.0

Vivid Seats is another extremely popular ticket resale website that has a lot of reviews, and many customers under its belt.

As a result, it has a massive Trustpilot score and a lot of good reviews. Here’s a tasting of them:

“Made it easy to feel secure with my ticket purchase as well as know what steps to take to ensure we got in to our sold out show.” (User Jamey T)

“First time dealing with Customer Service. Your Customer Service Rep was very polite and professional with a great and helpful Attitude. Great Customer Service Rep working for your Company. Look forward to work with you in the future!” (User John Espinoza)

“I thought it was a great customer service experience, till 20 mints after my purchase by phone my bank call me that someone was trying to use my card so send money to a cashapp account!!! I don’t even have a cashapp and didn’t stepped outside my house how come I gave all my information to a person on the phone and I get scammed right after!!! Really disappointing!” (User Cristaly)

“In my experience I would give Vivid Seats a 0 stars but since that is not an option I have to unfortunately select a 1. I sat in a chat with a person for approximately 1 hour trying to get my tickets so I can get my seats for last. Nights show. I never got my seats for my Mother’s Day gift for my mom. How embarrassing this was for me. Your chat person kept messaging me to wait 2 minutes. I never even this morning got the email or text to actually get my tickets. I went to the box office multiple times to get my seats and they said the seats were in someone else’s name. I want a full refund and also want compensation for my time embarrassment. Awful experience.” (User Stacey)

StubHub – Trustpilot score: 4.3/5.0

StubHub is one of the more popular resale websites that works hard to reduce fees and inflation on second-hand gig and concert tickets. Their great reviews make StubHub a good option for fans looking to get last-minute tickets.

“Brought tickets Friday morning for Olivia Rodrigo at 02 Friday night was worried they wasn’t going to come in email but turned up hour after I had paid and easy to access them aswell.” (User Zylz EU)

“We purchased tickets to see Taylor Swift in Paris and were very happy with the service. We were thrilled to be able to get tickets a few days before the show and although a bit nervous about the validity of the tickets, the fan protection reassured us and everything went really well.” (User Fadia)

“Crazy comissions to cancel. I have bought a wrong ticket and immideately identified it and ask for a change or cancel (within 5 min). The platform said it is not responsible for anything, and proposed to sell it, resulting me loosing 40% of the value. I don’t think it is legal by the EU laws.” (User Kos)

“Shocking and very disappointing. Ordered take that tickets for 27th April and got a email at 21.10pm on 26th saying tickets were not available now and badly let me and my daughter down for 27th. Not impressed and poor communications from them.” (sic) (User Boz)

Twickets – Trustpilot score: 4.6/5.0

Twickets is another powerful ticket resale website that fans adore. With strong regulations, this is a great option for fans. Here’s the reviews:

“Easy to list. Set up with offers accepted but received silly ones that were rather annoying. Cancelled listing and relisted with a sensible price and sold the same day with instant money into my PayPal account. Great job.” (User Rebecca Stopford)

“I bought the tickets close to the show date and they were clearly marked as discounted which was helpful for our purposes (an impromptu night out). I really enjoy the ticket stream as it helps us find events not on our radar which is how we found these. The transactions are smooth and love the comfort of knowing twickets have my back if there’s any issues. Got the tickets immediately, downloaded as pdf. Had a great night with ease of mind.” (User Pia Bezzina)

“I’m trying to sell the tickets to a show i’m unable to attend, and the ticket platform instructed me Twickets are the only option to do so, however Twickets are only available to UK residents. There is no customer service, only most common Q&As.” (User Velja Vrcelj)

“Scammers on Twickets!!! I purchased tickets via Twickets the morning of the event. The seller did not transfer the tickets over via ticketmaster. I spent the full day trying to contac the seller via email and the mobile number provided to which they did not respond. I then contacted twickets support who told me there wasnt anything they could do and for a refund I would need to raise a dispute with Paypal. I then had to spend 25min on the phone to paypal who have raised a dispute but I need to wait 7 days for the seller to respond before I can escalate it further to claims to attempt to get my money back. I am now £160 down for the tickets, I had to cancel my hotel that I had booked and lost my money for that, and now not getting to an event I was really looking forward to!! Be careful – Twickets isnt as secure as you think.” (sic) (User Leanne)

Sites such as Viagogo and Vivid Seats allow fans to buy resale tickets from other fans. However, it is important to note that many event promoters say tickets should not be resold after initial purchase and will not be valid for admittance to gigs.

Fans attending live events with tickets acquired through resale websites are advised to double-check the ticket terms and conditions at the point of sale – such as Ticketmaster or Live Nation – to ensure a smooth live event experience. Tickets could be voided if they were found to be bought second-hand. As a result, fans are buying at their own risk.

With that said, viagogo also commented: “viagogo is a regulated marketplace where fans have the freedom to buy and sell tickets to their favourite live events, safely and securely, backed by a guarantee.”
