Taylor Swift reacts furiously to Blake Lively and Justin Baldoni’s trial as she’s ordered to attend court as witness

TAYLOR Swift has broken her silence after being ordered to attend pal Blake Lively’s court clash with Justin Baldoni as a witness.

The furious pop superstar has issued a statement after being handed a subpoena by Baldoni’s legal team.

In a statement given to the Daily Mail, Swift denies any involvement in the pair’s issues on the set of the movie It Ends With Us.

It reads: “Taylor Swift never set foot on the set of this movie, she was not involved in any casting or creative decisions, she did not score the film, she never saw an edit or made any notes on the film, she did not even see It Ends With Us until weeks after its public release, and was traveling around the globe during 2023 and 2024 headlining the biggest tour in history.”

Her team claims her loose link to the film – the use of her 2020 track My Tears Ricochet – as a way of dragging her name into proceedings to boost publicity surrounding the trial.

Taylor’s statement went on: “Given that her involvement was licensing a song for the film, which 19 other artists also did, this document subpoena is designed to use Taylor Swift’s name to draw public interest by creating tabloid clickbait instead of focusing on the facts of the case.”

Lively’s representatives have also attacked the subpoena, claiming Bladoni’s teams are trying to turn a serious matter into entertainment.

It follows comments that tickets should be sold to the public to witness Lively’s deposition at Madison Square Garden.

They told People: “This is a very serious legal matter, not Barnum & Bailey’s Circus.”

The subpoena comes just three months after a New York court heard how a “significant number” of A-list stars could be dragged in as witnesses.

Lively and Baldoni will do battle at the city’s federal court.

The actress initiated the legal clash in December claiming she suffered sexual harassment while working on It Ends With Us.

Blake Lively and Justin Baldoni’s legal battle will drag on ‘for years’ and he will ‘never get anything close to $400m’

Baldoni went on to counter-sue for $400m the following month alleging he had been defamed and the damage to his reputation had cost him lucrative working opportunities.

Earlier this year, Baldoni’s lawyer, Bryan Freedman, launched a website releasing 168 pages of emails, text messages and WhatsApps between Baldoni and Lively.

Freedman defended his actions in court, saying: “Not to sound like a four-year-old fighting a four-year-old with ‘but they started it’ but once someone says something it becomes fact, there’s no way to fight against it.

“You start to lose things without the ability to have the court’s adjudication. This was not started by us.”
