Taco Bell fans were left a little unsettled after seeing what could be a new dessert at the popular fast food joint.
A Facebook post from the account Greasy News on Sunday debuted the rumoured treat, and the reaction left fans noticeably sour.
The caption of the post said: “Taco Bell has a tentative release date… this fall! Baja Blast pie!
“This one has been testing for a while now and was unveiled in late 2023.”
This alone wasn’t the thing that caused concern, it was the picture of what it could look like.
The accompanying image shows the Baja Blast pie as a bright green dessert with a strip of whipped cream along the top.
The illuminous green is certainly eye-catching, but id didn’t seem to go over all that well with fans.
‘TOOTHPASTE DESSERT?’
To sum up the fan reaction, one comment called the dessert “Toothpaste?”
And the feedback doesn’t really improve from there.
The overwhelmingly negative sentiment mainly targets the color of the dessert.
One person wrote in the comments: “Nope, not eating that.
“Would it make a good car wax?”
Another added: “Whatever it is, it doesn’t look very appealing.”
And a third noted: “That looks like the stuff you used to make Creepy Crawler bugs.”
It is important to note that this dessert has not yet been confirmed as coming to Taco Bell Menus just yet.
The US Sun has reached out to Taco Bell for possible confirmation.
RETURN OF THE NUGGET
The US Sun recently reported that Taco Bell has brought back the crispy chicken nuggets to its menus nationwide.
The spicy snack is back at all US locations for a limited run, part of Taco Bell’s bigger plan to make crispy chicken a permanent fixture by 2026.
Starting from Wednesday, the nuggets will return for an eight week run.
Taylor Montgomery, Taco Bell’s chief marketing officer, said: “The demand for our nuggets was off the charts.
