Strictly Come Dancing 2019: Is Katya Jones’ fate sealed as her celeb partner is 'revealed'

Strictly Come Dancing is back with a brand new series as fifteen famous faces have been announced as the newest contestants.

Ahead of the launch show kicking off at the beginning of next month, speculation is rife as to which celebrity is going to be paired with which professional dancer.

Hoping to make it to the final and lift the Glitterball Trophy, Katya Jones has reportedly been partnered up with Will Bayley.

According to an unnamed source: “Katya and Will have been put together. They are in early group rehearsals and bosses will be looking out for which couples gel.

“Quite often pairings do stick,” the insider told The Mirror.

It comes after the dancers and celebrities met one another last week to take part in a series of basic rehearsals.

This is an opportunity for producers and members of the Strictly team to decide who could be coupled up with who.

Express.co.uk has contacted the BBC for comment.

Should Katya and Will be partners, the chances of them winning the series are slim.

According to the latest odds by Coral Bookmakers, the Paralympic table tennis gold medallist is set to be one of the first contestants to be eliminated.

BBC Breakfast sports reporter Mike Bushell is currently the favourite to leave the competition in the second week, with his odds sitting at 3/1.

And it looks like Will will be following in his footsteps as Coral predict him to be the second celebrity to exit with his odds sitting at 7/1.

The show are yet to confirm which professional dancers are going to be part of the main line-up, partnered with a celeb.

However, fans were left devastated when two dancers announced they were taking a backstage role this series.

Gorka Marquez and Graziano Di Prima took to their Instagram accounts and told their fans how they would be involved with the group dances and choreography instead of the main show.

Gorka has been on Strictly Come Dancing for the last four years and last year he was partnered with Katie Piper.

Graziano joined the dance competition last year and got to week five with Radio DJ Vick Hope and the Cha Cha Cha.

Following this, there have been suggesting Neil Jones is going to take more of a prominent role on the show and be partnered with a celebrity for the first time.

He is known for delivering backstage gossip on the sister show It Takes Two, as well as organising and creating the spectacular group and guest performances.

Strictly Come Dancing returns to BBC One on September 7th for the launch show.
