Woods has dealt with major injuries in the later part of his career, and the Achilles tear is yet another devastating blow to him.

Stephen A. Smith believes this injury is the nail in the coffin for his professional career.

“To me, Tiger Woods is a recreational golfer at this point,” Stephen A. said.

“We know how he’s the all-time greatest, we get that, but his health is so bad.

“He’s gone through so many physical tragedies.”

Stephen A. said he no longer can think about Woods’ skills when he sees him, he can only think about his injuries.

“I look at Tiger Woods and I don’t even think about his game,” he said.

“You know what I think about? One day, cause that’s all you got.”

Stephen A. said that Woods can’t finish walking the golf course anymore, especially after the Achilles tear.

“You walk 18 holes Thursday, Friday, Saturday, and Sunday, he’s not making it,” Stephen A. said.

“Literally you don’t even think about his swing y’all. You don’t think about his short game, you don’t think about his mid game, you don’t think about none of that.

“All you think about is he can’t make it through four days walking before you think about him swinging.

“Walking the 18-hole course is not something he can do anymore.”

Woods released a statement regarding his injury on Tuesday afternoon.

“As I began to ramp up my own training and practice at home, I felt a sharp pain in my left Achilles, which was deemed to be ruptured,” he wrote.
