Sister, ‘It Ends With Us’ author back Blake Lively suit; WME drops co-star Baldoni

Blake Lively’s sister and the author whose book inspired “It Ends With Us” both are backing Lively’s sexual-harassment and smear lawsuit filed against director and co-star Justin Baldoni.

The two women stood by the actress on social media Saturday, the same day talent agency William Morris Endeavor (WME) dropped Baldoni, and a day after Lively’s complaint was filed, Variety reported.

The support came after The New York Times detailed Baldoni’s efforts to discredit the actress, who was also a producer on the movie.

“You have been nothing but honest, kind, supportive and patient since the day we met,” author Colleen Hoover wrote in her Instagram stories Saturday, according to Deadline. “Thank you for being exactly the human that you are. Never change. Never wilt.”

She tagged Lively and included links to coverage of the lawsuit, which Lively filed Friday after months of rumored behind-the scenes discord. In the complaint, filed with the California Civil Rights Department, Lively accuses Baldoni and others involved in the film of working to smear her reputation.

Lively’s sister, Robyn Lively, defended her younger sibling on social media, stating in her own Instagram Story, “FINALLY justice for my sister.”

Lively’s lawsuit describes a meeting attended by numerous people involved in the movie and by Lively’s husband, Ryan Reynolds, in which Baldoni was ordered to reign in his behavior.

According to the complaint, the bad behavior included displaying photos and videos of nude women to his co-star, mentioning a “previous pornography addiction” and talking about his past sex life. Baldoni was also told to stop adding “sex scenes, oral sex or on-camera climaxing by [Lively] outside the scope of the script [Lively] approved when signing onto the project,” according to People.

Baldoni’s lawyer, Bryan Freedman, has called the allegations “false, outrageous and intentionally salacious.”
