Sir Chris Hoy's wife breaks silence on husband's terminal cancer diagnosis – 'Superhero'

The wife of Sir Chris Hoy has described him as a ‘superhero’ after he confirmed he was terminally ill with cancer. Back in February, the six-time Olympic gold medalist revealed he had been undergoing chemotherapy, and in a heartbreaking statement on the weekend, admitted he had been given between two and four years to live.

Despite the severity of his situation, the 48-year-old has remained positive, claiming he felt ‘lucky’ to be able to receive treatment that will prolong his life.

And just hours after the announcement, he continued with his work as a pundit for the BBC at the UCI Track Cycling World Championships in Denmark.
