The cult favorite drink – Trader Joe’s Organic Orange Juice – seems to have disappeared from the stores, leaving fans raging.
According to shoppers, they’ve recently had no luck in finding the ”no pulp” juice that comes in a carton and a bright orange lid.
Some people stated that they’ve tried searching for the healthy drink in multiple branches – but unfortunately, with no luck.
One furious Redditor said: ”The organic orange juice that came in the carton was a household favorite but I haven’t seen it on the shelf for weeks now.
”I’ve checked a couple stores and neither have the price tag displayed anymore either.”
The social media user, who posts under the username @sj_numba1, wondered: ”Did it get discontinued?”
Although customers can snap up the same juice in a plastic container, critics have noted that this version is nothing like the carton juice.
”The version that comes in the plastic container doesn’t taste the same at all,” the Redditor was raging in the post.
Trader Joe’s has also come under fire for allegedly charging a whopping $2 more for the plastic bottle version – which also comes with pulp.
According to upset fans, who cried that their families are ”not happy” with the discovery, they are ready to take drastic action – by starting ”a riot”.
The news has since taken the internet by storm, with several angry people flooding to comments.
One social media user said: ”Was looking for it last weekend.”
Another customer joked: ”Yea, this is painful. Hey, now I can get less OJ in the plastic bottle (with pulp) for $2 more! Look on the bright side…”
Someone else chimed in: ”Found out yesterday this was discontinued. Almost started a riot.”
However, some customers have stated that their local branch still has some stock left.
”I just bought some today in Southern California,” a lucky shopper commented.
How to cut the cost of your grocery shop
BELOW are some tips on how to reduce the amount you spend on groceries.
- Write yourself a list – Only buy items that you need. If it isn’t on your list, don’t put it in the trolley
- Create a budget – Work out a weekly budget for your food shopping
- Never shop hungry – You are far more likely to buy more food if your tummy is rumbling
- Don’t buy pre-chopped veggies or fruit – The extra they’ll charge for chopping can be eye watering
- Use social media – Follow your favourite retailers to find out about the latest deals
- Be disloyal – You may want to go to different stores to find the best bargains
- Check the small print – It’s always worth checking the price per kg/lb/litre when comparing offers so you’re making a like for like decision as a bigger box won’t necessarily mean you get more
- Use your loyalty cards – Don’t be afraid to sign up to them all. They all work slightly differently – work out what bonus suits you better and remember to trade in your points for additional rewards
BRING IT BACK
Another beloved bread at Trader Joe’s was also confirmed to be discontinued in March.
It was none other than the highly sought-after Pancake Bread, leaving some customers devastated.
Pancake Bread has been described as a moist, buttermilk pancake-flavored loaf cake with a cinnamon-based topping.
“RIP Pancake Bread I can’t believe it’s been discontinued we bought it every week,” a saddened fan wrote online.
“WHAT!! Is this why I did not see it on my trip to TJs yesterday?! It was my favorite bakery item!! I am so sad about this,” another cried.
A popular sauce was also axed at the retailer in January.
Even a “simple” dinner option was removed, but consumers found a replacement from a competitor.
