Shoppers race to get their hands on £7 serum that’s a dupe for £165 Lancome cream

SKINCARE lovers are scrambling to Aldi after the supermarket launched a £7 serum said to rival Lancome’s £165 Absolue serum.

The budget-friendly beauty buy is part of Aldi’s new Lacura HA5+ Skincare range, which includes a £7.99 day cream, £7.99 night cream, and a £4.99 eye cream.

But it’s the Lacura HA5+ Serum (50ml) priced at £6.99 that has really caught shoppers’ attention.

One shopper shared the find with on LatestDeals.co.uk, posting a photograph of the serum.

And with Mother’s Day around the corner, it will make for a perfect budget-friendly gift.

Shoppers were buzzing with the find with one person replying to the post: “I bought the HA5+ serum and eye cream yesterday so I’m looking forward to trying them both. I’ve bought many of the Aldi dupes over the years and always find them to be good value for decent products.”

Another person wrote: “I will be looking in my local Aldi tomorrow! Thanks for sharing. “

A third added: “Nice one, I like to use the serum so will give it a try, always worthwhile giving it a go, thanks.”

A fourth chimed in: “I will have the check this out in my local store, don’t always find the same items unfortunately but do look forward to going to the shop. Thanks for sharing. “

Earlier this month, shoppers raced to get their hands on La Vallée Switzerland’s Anti-Aging Line Concealer which was slashed by over 83% at TK Maxx.

The product is normally only found at Harrods, the luxury department store in London’s affluent Knightsbridge,

The preventive eye concealer, which usually retails at £160 for 15ml, claims to delay the formation of fine lines.

I’ve found the best little-known store for designer bargains – there’s Gucci, Louboutins, Versace and more for cheap

However, TKMaxx shoppers were able to pick up a bottle of the cream for just £27.99 – 83% less, before it eventually sold out.

SAVE MONEY AT ALDI

Looking for dupes at Aldi is just one way to save money on your next shopping trip.

It’s worth keeping an eye out for products with red stickers on them too.

These are added to items that have been reduced due to them being close to their best before date or slightly damaged.

The best time to get these reduced products is towards the end of the day, when you can get discounts worth up to 75%.

Aldi shoppers can pick up Too Good to Go bags of fresh food worth £10 for £3.30 too.

You can pick them up in stores but there are only a limited amount each day.

Aldi also offers cheap fruit and veg as part of its Everyday Essentials range, including discounted wonky bundles.

You can grab a wonky 1.5kg bag of carrots for 60p and a pack of wonky grapes for £1.49 in branches.

How to compare prices to get the best deal

JUST because something is on offer, or is part of a sale, it doesn’t mean it’s always a good deal.

There are plenty of comparison websites out there that’ll check prices for you – so don’t be left paying more than you have to.

Most of them work by comparing the prices across hundreds of retailers.

Here are some that we recommend:

  • Google Shopping is a tool that lets users search for and compare prices for products across the web. Simply type in keywords, or a product number, to bring up search results.
  • Price Spy logs the history of how much something costs from over 3,000 different retailers, including Argos, Amazon, eBay and the supermarkets. Once you select an individual product you can quickly compare which stores have the best price and which have it in stock.
  • Idealo is another website that lets you compare prices between retailers. All shoppers need to do is search for the item they need and the website will rank them from the cheapest to the most expensive one.
  • CamelCamelCamel only works on goods being sold on Amazon. To use it, type in the URL of the product you want to check the price of.
