Shoppers race to B&M to pick up laundry buy scanning for just 10p – it’s perfect for taking on holiday too

RESTOCKING your laundry essentials can be an expensive task but it doesn’t have to cost you an arm and a leg.

Shoppers are racing to B&M after spotting a cleaning item scanning for pennies.

One bargain hunter shared the deal on the Facebook group Extreme Couponing and Bargains UK.

She revealed that she nabbed a 40-pack of detergent sheets for a fraction of the price.

According to her, the Dr. Beckman Magic Leaves Laundry Detergent Sheets are currently “scanning at 10p”.

The same pack is available for £7.60 from the Dr. Beckman website.

Designed to “quickly dissolve”, the sheets guarantee “no mess” and “easy dosing”.

Simply add a sheet to each load you’re washing for a “spring fresh” finish.

Manufacturers pointed out that the sheets have “less bulk” than classic detergent pods, liquid, or powder.

They have been approved by the Good Housekeeping Institute for 2025.

And if the low price isn’t enough of a reason to pick these up, Facebook users have shared an additional benefit of the buy.

“They are great, I take them on holiday with me as they don’t take up much room in the case,” wrote one reader.

“I take these on holiday, absolutely brilliant,” agreed another bargain hunter.

As well as being travel-friendly, another Facebook user shared a hack to make the detergent sheets go even further.

“We use these. Cut the sheets in half as only need that much,” she explained.

“Clothes never too dirty so half works well.”

Other people praised the detergent sheets for their highly effective results.

The impact of using plastic cleaning products

Laura Harnett, founder of eco cleaning brand, Seep, said: “Many people have switched to eco friendly cleaning sprays and detergents but aren’t aware that cleaning tools (such as green and yellow sponges and microfibre cloths) are made of plastic and release microplastics every time they are used.

“Microplastic is a huge concern as they are released into our water every time a plastic sponge or cloth is used to wash up or is rinsed out.

“A yellow and green plastic sponge lasts approximately one month and when you see the green part go bobbly that’s all of the microplastic coming out of it.”

  • 600 million plastic household items end up in landfill every year
  • 13 million tonnes of plastic lead into our oceans each year
  • 1.1 million marine animals die each year as they swallow, get strangled or are suffocated by plastic

“I got these and they are brilliant, definitely recommend,” wrote one commenter.

“I have used these for just over a year now and they are brilliant, clean the washing beautifully,” another person said.

“There is no residue left behind unlike pods and it doesn’t leave build up on washing like powder so it’s a win-win for me.”

“I’ve been using these, it got the hot chocolate stain out of my jumper,” commented one Facebook user.

“I’ve been using these for a long time, never any problems,” said another person.
