Shooting victim critical after brawl outside Bronx FDNY Emergency Medical Service station


A brawl outside a Bronx FDNY Emergency Medical Station between two groups wound up with a shooting victim in critical condition after fleeing gunshots as he ran toward a car.

When other occupants in the fleeing car realized he had been shot in the neck, they stopped the sedan, with two bullet holes in the windshield, two blocks away, police sources said.

The two groups were arguing outside the EMS station on Jerome Ave. near E. 183rd St. in Fordham shortly after 2 p.m. Friday, the sources said, when one of them pulled a gun and fired at least eight shots.

Paramedics rushed the 29-year-old victim to St. Barnabas Hospital in critical condition, cops said.

No arrests have been made.
