Serial groper cuffed for harassing 10-year-old girl in Staten Island

Police arrested a serial groper for harassing a 10-year-old girl in Staten Island on July 11, cops said.

The victim told police that 20-year-old Patrick Rojas Poma started chatting her up near Winant and Charleston Aves. in Rossville before he suddenly hugged her from behind around 5:45 p.m., cops said.

Officers cuffed Poma, a Queens resident, after realizing he’d been twice arrested for assaulting a woman and two teenage girls last year, police said.

Poma was most recently arrested for following a 14-year-old girl off a Queens bus on Oct. 25, then cornering her by an alley on 164th St. near Hillside Ave. where he shoved his hands down her pants and tried to kiss her, cops said.

Before that he groped a 17-year-old girl and a 20-year-old woman riding the elevator at a Sixth Ave. hotel in Midtown Manhattan on June 29 last year, cops said.

In both assaults Poma asked his victims to pose for a picture before he groped them, said police.

The cases related to last year’s arrests remain in the courts, for which Poma is due to appear before a judge in Queens on July 24 and in Manhattan Criminal Court on Sept. 9, court records show.
