A TRIP to the beach now that we’re enjoying glorious sunshine will seem like a great idea if you’re a parent – the sea, the sun and the sand is perfect for the little ones.

But we all know that that’s not always the case – there are tantrums, having to reapply sunscreen every few hours, building sandcastles and making sure the children stay safe in the open water.

And of course, the dreaded sand that seems to get just about everywhere – especially between the toes and in turn, in your car.

Luckily, one savvy mum has come up with just the right solution – and not only is it simple but will also cost you just 10p.

The parent, only known as Mrs V Lifehacks, took to TikTok to share the genius hack – and you’ll wonder why you hadn’t thought of it sooner.

According to the woman, from New York, the US, the answer is easy, and all you will need is a large plastic bag – which you may already have to carry all their toys in.

Simply fill it up with the sea water, then place it right next to your sandals, dip the feet inside for a quick rinse and proceed to slide the feet into your footwear – it’s really that easy.

The video, which is sure to come in handy during summer holidays, has already taken the platform by storm, winning the mother more than 10million views.

Sharing the game-changer of a trick online, the social media user dubbed the hack a ”mum’s best friend”, as many flooded to thank her.

One wondered: ”Why didn’t I know this before?”

”Wait why is this so smart,” someone else was gobsmacked.

”Wow this is genius beach hack,” a third chimed in.

”Great idea thanks for sharing,” a beach lover added.

£3 gadget to keep you cool

Whether you’re heading to the beach, have planned a picnic in the park or are working from home, the sweltering temperatures are sure to leave you feeling hot and sweaty.

Luckily, bargain-mad shoppers have found just the right item to keep cool – and it’s so good, they say ”everybody should buy”.

Five ways to keep your kids cool in the heat

IT can be really difficult – and costly – to keep kids cool when it’s hot outside. But Fabulous Digital Senior Reporter and mum-of-two Sarah Bull shares five ways to help, and they won’t break the budget either.

Strip them off

It might sound simple, but stripping kids off at home can really help them regulate their temperature when it’s warm outside. Just remember to regularly apply suncream, as more of their skin will be exposed to the sun.

Cool down bedrooms before nighttime

When it’s hot outside, it can be difficult for kids to go to sleep – especially if their bedroom feels like an oven. If you have a room that’s not in direct sunshine, keep the windows open to let in a breeze. It’s also a good idea to keep the curtains closed, to prevent the room from heating up.

Wear a hat

Another simple technique, but one that really works. Make sure that if your kids are playing outside, they’ve got a hat on. It keeps their face and head shielded from the sun, and also helps if you’ve got a little one who struggles with bright sunlight. If your tot struggles to keep a hat on, try one with a strap that goes under the chin to help.

Avoid the car

The car can be one of the hottest places during a heatwave, and often takes a long time to cool down. If you have the option, it’s better to stay at home rather than taking kids out anywhere in a hot car.

Stay hydrated

This is always important, but even more so in a heatwave. Make sure you’re regularly reminding your kids to have a drink, and top them up with cool liquids whenever you can. Use ice too to ensure it’s as cold as it can possibly be.

According to money-smart Brits, the popular high street retailer The Works is selling a Mist Spray Fan that’s ideal for staying fresh in the hot weather.

Priced at just £3, the portable mini fan comes in three summery shades – yellow, blue and pink.

A fantastic way to stay fresh in the heat, this handheld mist spray fan holds 385ml of water – perfect for the beach, camping, BBQ, travel, climbing, exercise and more.

To use this bargain, simply fill it water and place two AA batteries in the compartment – however, these need to be purchased separately.

The £3 price tag is indeed a bargain, as other rival retailers offer similar products for more, such as Temu where it goes for around £4 or Amazon – which will set you back a fiver.

The Works customers can either get it from their local branch or have it delivered.

Online, the summer essential has won an impressive four-star rating and and over 180 gleaming reviews.

One shopper who reckoned ”everybody should buy one” said: ”Just what’s needed in the hot weather.”

Another gave the purse-friendly buy the maximum of five stars, writing: ”Great for hot days at home or on the beach. Simple and effective!”

A nan wrote: ”I bought 3 of these. One for myself and 2 for younger grandchildren.
