Sabrina Carpenter’s new music video gives fans a taste of Jenna Ortega’s scream queen reputation — and an extra short and sweet surprise: a kiss, amid rumors Carpenter called it quits with actor Barry Keoghan.
The “Espresso” singer, 25, was joined by the 21-year-old “Beetlejuice Beetlejuice” star in the music video for “Taste.”
The video — which dropped Friday along with Carpenter’s sixth studio album, “Short n’ Sweet” — opens on a bed lined with a lacy pink duvet, on top of which sit several weapons. Carpenter then waltzes into a mansion to kill the woman in bed with her boyfriend, only for Ortega to interrupt and shoot the singer.

Carpenter then falls out the window and is impaled by the fence. From there, the video — which also features an homage to the “Kill Bill” nurse — sees the stars try to slay each other in increasingly graphic ways.
As the “Wednesday” star makes out with their mutual boyfriend, the man suddenly morphs into Carpenter, with the two women kissing as Carpenter sings “You’ll just have to taste me when he’s kissing you.”
Carpenter on shared a clip of herself, bloodied, and Ortega — holding a blood-soaked chainsaw — posing to the tune of Talking Heads’ 1977 hit, “Psycho Killer.”
The steamy and gory video, and album, released amid chatter that Carpenter and “Saltburn” star Keoghan, 31, broke up last week.
The “Banshees of Inisherin” actor played the love interest in the video for Carpenter’s, “Please Please Please,” which dropped in June and features the lyrics, “I heard that you’re an actor / So act like a stand up guy” — an apparent allusion to Keoghan himself.
Keoghan was also spotted supporting Carpenter when she served as Taylor Swift’s opener at several legs of the Eras Tour.
Despite several sightings during and after the tour, and the rumored split, a source told People last weekend that Carpenter and Keoghan — who liked her sultry Aug. 16 post — are merely “on and off.”
