The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge keep all their fans updated regularly on their whereabouts via their Instagram page, @kensingtonroyal which has 10.4 million followers. The emotional tribute comes as William hosted the inspirational 2019 Legacy Awards where he met those who received the Diana Award.
William was not joined by his wife Kate at Kensington palace where they held a tea party for the award’s recipients.
According to the post, the Diana award is “a continuation of Princess Diana’s legacy and her belief that young people have the power to change the world for the better.”
The awards take place every two years and hold a very special place in both the Prince’s hearts.
The rest of the caption read: “Taking place every two years, the Legacy Awards celebrate the achievements of 20 outstanding young leaders, visionaries and role models from across the world, aged 12-25, who have demonstrated their ability to inspire and mobilise new generations to serve their communities.
“The Award recipients will have access to a two-year development programme which will look to enhance leadership, community development, social entrepreneurship and technology.
“Earlier in 2019 The Duke of Sussex attended the UK’s first National Youth Mentoring Summit, hosted by the Diana Award — the summit brought together the UK mentoring community, business leaders, politicians and young people at the UK’s first National Youth Mentoring Summit in London.

The post was accompanied by some adorable photos of William meeting and socialising with the recipients of the award.

Diana, Princess of Wales was Prince Charles’ first wife.
She unfortunately died in a car accident in Paris in 1997, leaving her two sons with their father.
She was a fashion icon in the 1980s and 1990s and gained significant press attention during the fallout of her marriage to Prince Charles.
