Rosie O’Donnell has entered the Diddy chat; comparing the embattled hip hop mogul to convicted rapist Harvey Weinstein.
In a recent TikTok video, titled “todays news,” the former talk show queen weighed in on the news surrounding the Sept. 16 arrest of Sean “Diddy” Combs, who also lived on Star Island, an exclusive South Beach enclave in Miami she calls home.
She admitted to being “just kind of in shock” about the news that federal authorities arrested the Bad Boy Records foundr last week on racketeering and sex trafficking charges.
O’Donnell pondered: “I know that there’s perhaps a naivete to me in some way, but I think, how could a person live knowing that they had done that and then be a public person and continue to do it? Didn’t he feel, like, the footsteps of the law behind him at all times?”
The former co-host of “The View” continued: “Or do you just get to be so big — like Harvey Weinstein did — that he thought, ‘Well I control Hollywood. I control the Oscars. I can sleep with any actress I want, whether they want to or not.’”
“It’s very upsetting. Sex trafficking? That’s serious, man,” she continued about Diddy. “And then they found 1,000 bottles of baby oil. I’m gonna be thinking about that the rest of my life.”
Earlier in the near-10-minute clip, O’Donnell shared that she only met Diddy once. He invited her to his New Year’s Eve party, but she was turned away by security staffers.
The next day, Diddy called and “felt so bad,” making it up to her in a way that she described as “so unbelievably over the top and extraordinary.” She says he rented out a cinema for the entire day for her and her family to see any movies they wanted.
“I never spoke to him before or after that,” the “A League of Their Own” star shared.
