Reigns shocked the WWE Universe and the world fo sport last October when he revealed that he first battled the terrible disease 11 years ago and after quickly overcoming it the cancer unfortunately returned.

The Big Dog then relinquished the Universal Championship, shortly after winning it from Brock Lesnar at SummerSlam, and then took time off for treatment.

During his hiatus the four-time world champion remained active as he landed a guest star role in Nickelodeon’s Cousins for Life as well as the Fast & Furious spinoff Hobbs & Shaw alongside his cousin and fellow WWE hero Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson.

WWE fans started to miss the ex-Universal Champion and he finally returned to RAW where he announced that the leukaemia nightmare is over and he is coming back to the ring.

Reigns said: “We didn’t just swing for the fences, we hit a home run.

“So when I tell you this I’m so grateful, I’m so humble and I’m so honoured to announce this.

“The good news is I’m in remission y’all.

“So with that being said, The Big Dog is back.”

The crowd erupted after hearing the wonderful news and chanted, ‘Welcome back’.

Reigns then walked to the back and was met by his old Shield ally Seth Rollins.

The two former world champions hugged as the audience continued to chant.

Reigns’ plans ahead of WrestleMania 35 are unknown.

The ex-WWE Champion has main-evented the last four WrestleManias.

The 33-year-old grappler faced Lesnar twice and also shared the ring with Triple H and The Undertaker.

The former Intercontinental Champion may now look to reclaim the Universal Championship, which he never officially lost.
