Rob Burrow's wife and children lay flowers at Headingley in teary tribute to icon

Rob Burrow’s wife Lindsey and their three children laid flowers outside Headingley Stadium following the death of the Rugby League legend.

Burrow – who was diagnosed with motor neurone disease in 2019 – passed away in hospital on Sunday.

It sparked an outpouring of emotion from the Rugby League community and beyond, with a sea of flowers, shirts, flags and other items left outside Headingley in tribute.

And on Tuesday evening, Lindsey, along with the couple’s three children, spent 30 minutes taking in the scene and reading the messages left for the former Leeds Rhinos’ ace.

Lindsey was seen fighting back the tears, with her children, who were all still in their school uniforms, laying down their own bouquet of flowers.

The family shared a warm embrace before heading off, with Burrow’s two daughters seen consoling mum Lindsey.
