The first episode of the fourth season was aired on Netflix last week and it was an emotional one. Riverdale’s cast paid tribute to Fred Andrews (played by actor Luke Perry) in the episode entitled In Memorium after the actor died in real life earlier this year. But the drama is bound to start again in the second episode which dropped onto the streaming platform this morning, October 17.
What will happen in Riverdale season 4, episode 3?
Season three is called Dog Day Afternoon and will be airing on Wednesday, October 23 on The CW in America.
A synopsis for the episode reads: “Things take a dangerous turn when Betty (Lili Reinhart) and Charles (guest star Wyatt Nash) track down Edgar (guest star Chad Michael Murray) and his Farmies. Archie (KJ Apa) and Veronica (Camila Mendes) hold a car wash fundraiser at Pop’s to raise money for the community center.
“Elsewhere, Jughead’s (Cole Sprouse) first day at Stonewall Prep doesn’t go as planned. Lastly, Cheryl (Madelaine Petsch) learns a dark family secret from Nana Rose.”

A promo was also released by The CW has showed Archie turning into a vigilante in a bid to safeguard Riverdale.
The episode which pays homage to the movie Dog Day Afternoon will also see one final confrontation with the Farm and the Cooper family at its heart.
After Dog Day Afternoon will the special Halloween episode. The Black Hood and the Gargoyle King are unlikely to return after the last series but that doesn’t mean there won’t be any creepy goings on during the Halloween episode in just a couple of weeks time.

Following the show’s season four premiere, Entertainment Tonight found out more details on some of the costumes the cast will be wearing.
Power couple Toni (Vanessa Morgan) and Cheryl will be dressing up for the show’s spooktacular episode as a pair of recognisable villains.
Toni will go as Harley Quinn, coinciding perfectly with the Birds of Prey movie, and Cheryl will dress up as one of Batman’s nemesis’ the red-headed Poison Ivy.
Speaking to Entertainment Tonight, Madelaine said: “I didn’t think Cheryl and Toni would do Halloween the way they’re doing it but I’m not going to spoil exactly what it is.

“However, we do obviously get very dressed up and things take a very strange turn – but a very Cheryl Blossom-esque turn. A very Blossomy turn.”
Archie is also expected to wear a hero-related costume but further details on his outfit have not yet been released.
Although, after everything that he has been through – escaping prison, fighting a bear, helping to take down Hiram Lodge (Mark Consuelos) – it would be quite fitting.
As well as costume details, Entertainment Tonight has shared a synopsis from the eagerly anticipated Halloween episode.
Talking about the fourth episode, it says: “When ominous videotapes being appearing on doorsteps across Riverdale, widespread fear quickly returns to the town.
“At Stonewall Prep, Jughead (Cole Sprouse) learns about a series of mysterious disappearances that have occurred to former students at the school.
“Meanwhile Archie’s(KJ Apa) plan to create a safe space for the town’s kids gets derailed when some unwanted visitors crash their Halloween party.
“Elsewhere, Veronica (Camila Mendes comes face to face with trouble, while Betty’s (Lili Reinhart) past comes back to haunt her.
“Lastly, a haunting at Thistlehouse rocks Cheryl (Madelaine) and Toni (Vanessa) to their core.”
There has been no information on what are on the videotapes as of yet but it has got the town spooked once again.
The episode will not be aired for another couple of weeks but it sounds like it’s going to be a thrilling one.
