A man wanted for ejaculating on a woman inside a Philadelphia Dollar Tree surrendered to authorities after Rapper Meek Mill offered a $2,000 bounty for anyone able to track him down.
The incident unfolded on June 23 inside the Dollar Tree on Snyder Avenue, Fox 29 reported. Video circulating on social media shows the suspect being chased from the discount store, seemingly by the victim, and into the parking lot. She can be heard hurling accusations and curses at the fleeing man, before dissolving into tears.
Store employees later told authorities the suspect, identified as 35-year-old Gary Miles, is known to frequent the Snyder Plaza as well as the nearby I-95 underpass, where he often parks his vehicle. Despite the intel, police were initially unable to locate Miles and called on the community for help, releasing surveillance photos of the suspect from inside the South Philly store.
In the images, Miles can be seen wearing a shirt with a candy cane on it that reads, “It’s not going to lick itself.”
The suspect remained at large until Wednesday, when video of the incident went viral online. It ultimately caught the attention of Meek Mill, a Philadelphia native, who reposted the clip and offered a reward for Miles’ location.
“Let’s play manhunt with him today in Philly some community service ….” he wrote in a post on X. “I got 2 bands for his lo???”
Hours later, police announced that Miles voluntarily surrendered to authorities Wednesday evening.
“The PPD extends its gratitude to the public for their assistance in locating Mr. Miles,” police said in a statement. “Additional updates, including charges and a mugshot, will be provided once charging is complete.”
