Queens man’s death ruled a homicide months later

A Queens man found dead in his apartment more than two months ago was the victim of a homicide, police said Wednesday.

Officers were called to 45-year-old Carlos Buritica’s apartment on 110th St. near 15th Ave. in College Point at 10 p.m. on Oct. 20, 2024, cops said. When they arrived, they found Buritica’s body on a bedroom floor with head trauma.

On Tuesday, the city Medical Examiner ruled the death a homicide.

There have been no arrests in the case, and an investigation continues, police said.
