Queens man dead after flipping his Mercedes in Grand Central Parkway crash


A Queens man was killed when he flipped his Mercedes in a crash on the Grand Central Parkway, police said Monday.

Manuel Torres, 22, was zipping east on the parkway when he slammed into two cars heading in the same direction near Parsons Blvd. in Briarwood about 6:45 a.m. Sunday, cops said.

A man was pronounced dead on scene when he was partially ejected from his black Mercedes Benz sedan that flipped over onto its' hood after colliding with a Subaru SUV whilst traveling eastbound on the Grand Central Parkway near Smedley Street in Queens on Sunday May 19, 2024. 0728.

The impact caused his Mercedes sedan to overturn, striking another vehicle before coming to a rest upside down.
