Any adult over the age of 18 who goes into a participating Greene King pub on Friday, June 14, can have a drink on the house, if they play by the rules.
As Euro 2024 is set to commence on Friday, June 14, the pub chain Greene King is showing generosity by offering free pints across their various locations.
For those willing to play along, a free pint awaits them at the bar if they tell the bartender the not-so-secret phrase at the correct time.
This generous offer rolls out as Greene King’s pubs are ushering in the Euros 2024 with a grand giveaway of beer and cider.
Visitors who stroll into any participating pub from 6pm to 7pm on Friday – the commencement day of the Euros – and declare “for pub and country” at the bar are eligible for a free drink.
This giveaway is anticipated to be initiated prior to the debut match between Scotland and host nation Germany, also a three-time champion, scheduled for 8pm.
Michelle West, Sports Head of Greene King, expressed her enthusiasm saying: “This summer at Greene King we’re hosting the nation, something we’ve been doing for over 200 years.
“Whether England and Scotland win, lose, or draw come the end of the tournament, we know that there’s nothing we all love more than throwing our support behind our home teams and what better way to kickstart the celebrations than by enjoying a free drink?”
Elsewhere, supermarkets are discounting goods in preparation for the month-long championship, where England plays its first game on Sunday, June 16.
