PS5 Disc Drive in stock with PS5 Pro for £160 off in cheapest deal available

The PS5 Pro does not come with a Disc Drive as standard but you can add one on using this bundle to keep on playing your disc games.

The PS5 Pro’s RRP is a slightly daunting £699 but the deal will cut the price down to just £636 with a Disc Drive – barely more than a regular PS5 but with much better graphics and the ability to play PS5 Pro Enhanced games from disc too.

To qualify for the deal, you need to register on Very as a new customer and then use the code WELCOME while buying the console on finance.

You must take out a buy now pay later option in order to qualify for the reduction in price. Once you have applied for the credit, type WELCOME into the box on the right before you confirm your order and it will give you 20% off.

The PS5 Disc Drive is sold out everywhere else right now but this pre-order is guaranteed for November 29, while stocks last.

Order the PS5 Pro via Very here and don’t forget to sign up for a credit deal with the code WELCOME to get the discount.

There is a way around paying any interest – simply take out the deal, then pay off the balance IN FULL before the buy-now-pay-later period ends.

Buyers have the choice of six months pay later or 12 months pay later, and will not pay any interest during this period. After the period ends, the interest is a hefty 44 percent APR, so you do want to make sure you pay it off in full before that.

If you simply buy the console, then pay off the balance next month or in the next few months before the fixed period ends, you won’t owe any interest at all and will get the console for a steal of a price.

This also works with the regular PS5, the Xbox Series X, Nintendo Switch, Apple iPads, TVs, and anything Very sells as long as it’s your first order.

We have tested this and can confirm it works.

Why buy a PS5 Pro?

The PS5 Pro is the latest and greatest PlayStation, offering enhanced graphical capabilities pushing framerates and resolution much higher than the base model.

Games must support the Pro from now on, and various big titles have received Pro patches this week to take advantage of the console’s extra power.

Capcom’s Resident Evil 4 now supports 100fps, up from 60fps on the standard PS5, while Sony’s zombie hits The Last Of Us Part I and 2, superhero fare SpiderMan 2 and various other titles from Horizon Zero Dawn to Ratchet and Clank and Gran Turismo 7 are all being boosted with new enhancements.

Gran Turismo 7 will boast a 120fps 4K mode, while F1 24 runs at 120fps or 60fps with all the weather and lighting effects cranked up to maximum.

The PS5 Pro can also boost older games, offering a cleaner image for old PS4 games with an enhancing setting which smooths out older games and makes them look better at higher resolutions.

What’s more, several PSVR2 games are also set to receive upgrades including No Man’s Sky and Kayak VR.
