Pregnant teen Sophia Franklin believed to be with 40-year-old father of her child

An Amber Alert has been issued for pregnant Wisconsin teen Sophia Franklin who is believed to be with the 40-year-old man who impregnated her.

Sophia Franklin, 16, was last seen at her home in Beaver Dam, about an hour northwest of Milwaukee, on Sunday night.

Surveillance footage shows Gary Day, 40, walking near the girl’s home on Monday morning.

Day “is known to be the father of the unborn child,” according to the alert.

The girl, who is three months pregnant, has a no-contact order against Day after her parents tried to restrict her internet access, according to Fox 6.

Day has been charged with child enticement and abduction in Dodge County, according to ABC News. Fox 6 reported Day has a previous abuse conviction in Arkansas and was required to wear an ankle monitor as part of his parole.

A complaint obtained by the network states the girl told police she began talking to Day on the internet in April before traveling to his home in Arkansas.

Day is known to have sets of license plates from Pennsylvania and Arkansas and may be driving a black Buick LaCrosse sedan, the Beaver Dam Police Department.

“Our goal is to find them in the area, hopefully, or before they go too far away from the area they last went missing,” Beaver Dam Police Chief John Kreuziger told WISN 12 News.

The chief added that the department is coordinating with a number of agencies in several states.
