Pistol-packing Kamala Harris boasts she would open fire on intruder

Tough-talking Kamala Harris in her sit down with Oprah Winfrey boasted that she’d shoot anyone who tries to break into her home.

During a televised town hall forum on Thursday night, Harris told the legendary TV talk show she wouldn’t hesitate to defend herself if necessary.

“If someone breaks in my house, they’re getting shot,” Harris told Winfrey.

Harris joked that her campaign might not have wanted her to speak so frankly.

“Probably should not have said that, but my staff will deal with that later,” Harris added.

To the contrary, the Harris campaign promoted the remarks Friday as evidence she and vice presidential nominee Tim Walz respect gun rights and the Second Amendment.

“We will not take anybody’s guns away,” Harris said in a tweet amplified by her campaign. “We can support the Second Amendment as I do and also agree that we need some reasonable laws.”

The Democratic ticket is seeking to blunt the advantage former President Trump and his Republican allies have long enjoyed among voters who support gun rights, especially in battleground states where legions of otherwise moderate voters may distrust Democrats on the issue.

Harris had previously revealed that she owns a .45-caliber handgun and highlighted her status as a gun owner during the recent debate with Trump, which most viewers thought she won.

Walz has long promoted himself as a moderate Democrat from the rural heartland who can appeal to culturally conservative voters. He often discusses his love for hunting and even brags of his prowess as a marksman.

He first won election by flipping a rural congressional district in southern Minnesota and has spent most of the campaign barnstorming through rural areas where Trump leads by wide margins.
