The last true mob-era casino of Las Vegas is no more. Tropicana Towers was demolished in the early hours of Wednesday, Oct. 9, 2024, in a controlled implosion to make way for a new baseball stadium. The landmark hotel and gambling parlor closed its doors for good back in April after welcoming guests for 67 years.
