One mum has had her mind-blown by a little-known door feature – and it seems she wasn’t alone in this newfound knowledge…
User @tammyvega05, who boasts nearly 3,000 followers, expressed her astonishment: “I was today years old when I found this out. So I learned something new today, my daughter’s door keeps opening up and I told her you just need to get a door stopper.
“And she goes ‘mum I’ve got a door stopper already’, well you see that thing, it’s a door stopper, it’s to stop the door as you close it so the door handle doesn’t hit the wall.”

In the video, she continued: “Oh no, she had to show me that when you let go, the door opens up so obviously meaning my husband needs to fix that.
“But in the meanwhile you just do this where you put your foot on the door stopper then put the door down and it holds the f***ing door in place. Why did I just learn that? Why didn’t I know that the door stopper can stop and hold the door. The things I learn.”
After sharing her discovery on TikTok, the video quickly gained 1.2 million likes and 17,900 comments.
One viewer commented: “Why did we all just learn that?” Another added: “I’m beginning to think we don’t know anything at all.”
A third person confessed: “Not me sitting up looking at my door stopper on my wall, baffled.”
