This is the moment heroic SWAT members climbed onto a roof of a three-story property in an effort to rescue the hostages of a suspected triple killer through a second-story window.
Andre Gordon, 26, barricaded himself in the property in Trenton, New Jersey, on Saturday after allegedly shooting his step mom, 13-year-old sister and the mother of his two children dead in Falls Township, Pennsylvania.
Helicopter footage shows law enforcement officers surrounding several blocks of homes on Phillips Street.
SWAT members were seen climbing to the second floor rooftop with a ladder and entering a window on the second floor. The rest of the video shows them pulling at least two people out of the window.
Gordon is believed to be the only person remaining inside the home, as the people held hostage have been “successfully evacuated with no injuries,” New Jersey law enforcement officials told CNN.
Gordon is wanted in connection with the deaths of three people who were found with fatal gunshot wounds in Falls Township, Pennsylvania earlier today.
He allegedly shot and killed his stepmother, 52, and 13-year-old sister with an assault rifle in Fallen Town, Bucks County District Attorney Jennifer Schorn said at a press conference.
Three other people in the home “were able to hide and avoid being shot by Gordon as he went through the house searching for them,” Schorn added.
Gordon then drove to another residence, where he shot and killed 25-year-old Taylor Daniel, a mother of his two children. Schorn said four other people, including the two children, were there.
Investigators believe the deaths at two separate houses were domestic-related.
Gordon then reportedly carjacked a dark gray 2016 Honda CRV at gunpoint in the parking lot of a Dollar General store and drove to Trenton, New Jersey, where he barricaded himself in a home.
Authorities previously said they received information that Gordon have taken several people hostage inside the property.
The suspect is believed to have “family ties” to the home in Trenton, Schorn said in a news conference.
Trenton, with a population of around 90,000, is seven miles – less-than-20 minute car drive – from Falls Township.
