Quentin Tarantino’s second film after Reservoir Dogs is also considered his magnum opus.
Pulp Fiction, an indie crime thriller, would go on to win the Palme d’Or at the 1994 Cannes Film Festival and be nominated for seven Oscars including Best Picture.
The writer-director himself would win the Academy Award for Best Original Screenplay alongside Roger Avary for the movie.
Set in Los Angeles with a plot out of chronological order, Pulp Fiction stars John Travolta, Samuel L Jackson, Uma Thurman, Bruce Willis, Harvey Keitel, Tim Roth, Amanda Plummer, Maria de Medeiros, Ving Rhames, Eric Stoltz, Rosanna Arquette and Christopher Walken.
A hit with the critics and a highly influential picture, Pulp Fiction appears in many lists as one of the greatest films ever made.
Pulp Fiction is currently streaming for free on ITVX but is also set to return to cinemas to mark the film’s 30th anniversary this year.
Screened in 4K, the Tarantino classic will be playing in cinemas on August 23, 2024.
