One man dead, another wounded in Staten Island knife fight

One man was killed and another was wounded in a Staten Island knife fight Monday, police and sources said.

The men, ages 41 and 37, got into a fight at the corner of Broad and Gordon Sts. outside Island Food Market in Stapleton Heights just after 3:45 p.m., they added.

Both men, armed with knives, took swipes at each other until eventually the older man was stabbed in the chest and the younger in the leg, sources said.
