NYPD: 2 men gunned down on busy Chinatown street near police headquarters


Two men were gunned down on a busy Chinatown street Saturday evening, with one in critical condition.

Police said the two were shot about 7:50 p.m., a block away from Police Headquarters, at the corner of Madison St. and St James Pl., with tall apartment buildings and restaurants surrounding the scene.

Both of the victims were taken to Bellevue Hospital, with one of the victims in critical condition from a gunshot to his neck, while the other victim was shot in the buttocks, police sources said.
