NYC Sheriff’s Office probed over possible improper cash seizures during pot shop shutdowns

The issue of the cash seizures came up during a Sept. 17 City Council meeting, when City Sheriff Anthony Miranda — asked about how much money  been seized during the raids — said  the NYPD was responsible for the cash seized during the pot shop raids “for safekeeping and investigative review.”
