Felix Mendez was crossing Lafayette Ave. just down the block from his Bedford-Stuyvesant home when he was hit by the driver of a white SUV.
Felix Mendez, 49, was killed early Thursday after a white SUV slammed into him as he was crossing the street, speeding down Bedford Ave. with his body in tow for a full half-block as seen in surveillance footage obtained by the Daily News. The driver fled the scene in the same SUV and Mendez was taken to New York-Presbyterian Brooklyn Methodist Hospital where he couldn’t be saved, cops said.
