A woman walking in Central Park was pushed over a fence by a stranger who then punched her multiple times and tried to rape her, cops said Sunday.
The 38-year-old victim was attacked on East Drive near E. 85th St. about 5:10 a.m. Saturday, cops said.
After pushing her over the metal fence and punching her, the assailant attempted to rape her before jumping on his bicycle and riding out of the park. He was last seen riding off uptown on Fifth Ave. and has not been caught.
On Sunday the NYPD released surveillance footage of the suspect on his bike taken at E. 85th St. and Second Ave. before the assault. Cops are asking the public’s help identifying the suspect and tracking him down.
