AN NFL Pro Bowler has been released from a team in a stunning update.
The announcement was revealed on Thursday, two weeks after the 2025 NFL Draft.

The Carolina Panthers revealed that they will cut one of their starting pass rushers from last season.
The team announced that they will part ways with the veteran outside linebacker Jadeveon Clowney.
The 32-year-old was set to earn $8.5 million in salary in the 2025 campaign, and $2 million of that is reportedly guaranteed.
Carolina will save $7.7 in cap space after the transaction.
However, Panthers fans, and regular football fans, weren’t impressed with the shock decision to move on from the three-time Pro Bowler.
“Not feeling this move,” one wrote.
“I don’t know about this one, chief,” another commented.
“Our management is hopeless,” a Panthers fan said.
Clowney signed a two-year, $20 million contract with the Panthers last March.
It was somewhat of a homecoming for him, as the Rock Hill native played at South Carolina from 2011-13.
Clowney is coming off a 14-start season in which he posted 46 total tackles, 5.5 sacks, 11 quarterback hits, and four passes defended.
However, he wasn’t much help for a Panthers defense that ranked dead last in the NFL.
The unit allowed an average of 404.5 yards of total offense per game and an average of 179.8 yards rushing allowed per contest.
Clowney’s best known for his time with the Houston Texans, where he was the team’s No. 1 overall pick in the 2014 NFL Draft.
He earned three straight Pro Bowl nods and a second-team All-Pro selection in 20216 in five seasons with the Texans.

Clowney has been part of four franchises, including the Seattle Seahawks, Cleveland Browns, and Baltimore Ravens, before joining the Panthers.
He has 58 career sacks in 140 career games.
Clowney has posted at least nine sacks in two of the last four seasons, making him an intriguing free agent pass rusher.
The 11-year NFL veteran could be a fit for the Washington Commanders, who made it to the NFC Championship Game this past season.
They lost the pass-rushing services of Dante Fowler, who led the team in sacks but signed with the Dallas Cowboys in free agency.
