NJ mayor issues apology to Jason and Kylie Kelce after fight with drunk fan

The mayor of Margate, N.J. has formally apologized to Jason and Kylie Kelce, and has even offered them a free meal, following an altercation they had with an inebriated fan over Memorial Day weekend.

Video emerged Tuesday of the famous couple getting into it with a woman outside of the popular Margate restaurant Steve & Cookie’s.

With Jason standing to the side, the unidentified woman can be seen shouting in Kylie’s face that she doesn’t care who the Kelces are and that they’ll “never been allowed in this town again.”

Kylie can be heard responding, calmly, “You have alcohol on your breath,” before adding, “You’re embarrassing yourself.”

The situation reportedly deescalated after that, but it was enough to prompt Mayor Michael Collins to post a statement to the Margate, NJ, Facebook page on Wednesday.

“On behalf of the City of Margate, I’d like to formally apologize to Jason & Kylie Kelce for the experience they had in Margate City over the holiday weekend,” Collins wrote.

“As a father with young children, I know as well as anyone the importance of a date night with your wife and would like to offer a redo date night with dinner on me,” he added.

The Kelces are reported to be regulars at the Jersey Shore and have a house there, so it’s possible they could just take the mayor up on his offer.

Jason hasn’t addressed the incident publicly, but did discuss his time at the shore on his “New Heights” podcast with brother Travis, saying he enjoyed some delicious chocolate chip pancakes.
