Ninja's 3-in-1 toaster and panini maker is 'so easy to use'

Ninja is a market leader in kitchen tech for a reason – but don’t make the mistake of thinking it only sells air fryers. In fact, one of its best-loved products is all about taking the humble toaster to the next level.

And right now, the Ninja Foodi 3-in-1 Toaster, Grill & Panini Press is discounted on Amazon – taking the full price down from £149.99 to £129. So what do you get for your money?

Let’s start with the toaster function – which is far more high-tech than what you might be used to. It has seven toast shade settings – so you can really customise how well you like your bread done – and promises edge-to-edge toasting, so you don’t have a burnt middle and raw edges.

But it’s not just a toaster – it’s actually a three-in-one gadget which also turns into a grill and panini press. The design is pretty genius, as the device stands up like a normal toaster when using that function, then flips on the side when you want to grill or use the panini press.

In classic Ninja style, it promises multiple ways to cook in one handy place, with the seven cooking functions spanning toast, bagel, defrost, grill, panini, bake and reheat. That means there are a whole lot of opportunities – from making a cheesy panini to reheating up an old slice of pizza and more.

And from 372 ratings on Amazon, the gadget has earned itself 4.6 stars out of 5. One happy shopper said it had “transformed my kitchen experience with its innovative features and multifunctional capabilities”, adding: “This kitchen appliance is truly a culinary powerhouse, offering a range of cooking functions that make it a must-have for any home!”

Another reviewer wrote: “Was pondering for a while as [it] seemed a expensive toaster but boy was I wrong, I have never actually had toast so good, crunchy but not dried out and perfectly toasted, then flip for the grill, again cheese on toast was perfection.” A third chimed in: “Love this little beauty. Perfect for cheese on toast!”

However, others had some more critical notes to share. One customer warned about the size of the device, saying: “The item looks great but you do need quite a bit of room for it, as it is quite long and because it flips down you will need plenty of counter space.” Another said the “grill is very slow”, so it might require a bit of patience to use.

It’s quite rare to get a toaster, panini press and grill all in one place. If you wanted to shop around, you could opt for a panini grill – like this Daewoo model, available for £25.99 at Currys, or you could opt for a more traditional toaster, like the Black Ribbed 2-Slice Toaster, which costs £22 from George at Asda.
