WAYNE Gretzky is suing his former business partner, per reports.
The NHL icon has alleged that Veera Mahajan filed a “frivolous” lawsuit against him in 2022.

Gretzky, 64, was involved in a weight loss chewing gum company called “OMG”.
Mahajan’s lawsuit claimed that the former hockey star said that the product had caused him to lose 35 pounds in just a few weeks.
She then alleged that Gretzky had lied, with the business going on to flop following the revelation.
Mahajan attempted to sue the NHL’s all-time leading goalscorer for fraud, claiming that she only invested in the company following his allegedly erroneous comments.
Gretzky fought back against Mahajan’s lawsuit, denying that he’d lied and refuting that the business’ failure was on him.
His former business partner went on to dismiss the case in 2024.
Per TMZ, Gretzky is now suing Mahajan for “malicious prosecution”.
The Canadian claims that Mahajan had assumed that he would settle the case “for millions in order to avoid potential negative publicity.”
Gretzky is also involved in a separate lawsuit with OMG founder Steven Sparks.
This case is still in progress.
Gretzky has become a controversial figure in Canada for publicly supporting US president Donald Trump.
Amid growing tensions between the United States and Canada, Gretzky’s relationship with Trump has come under fire in his homeland.
Gretzky attended Trump’s inauguration in Washington DC and has been spotted wearing a “Make America Great Again” cap.
While attending Team Canada’s win over Team USA last month, the NHL legend did not wear Canadian colors.
‘THEY CALL HIM THE GREAT ONE’
Gretzky represented Team Canada with distinction during his playing career, earning medals at the World Championship and World Cup.
Trump, 78, has defended Gretzky.
The US president posted on his own Truth Social site.
“Wayne Gretzky is a fantastic guy! They call him ‘The Great One,’ and he is. He could run for any political office in Canada and win,” Trump wrote.
“Wayne is my friend, and he wants to make me happy, and is therefore somewhat ‘lowkey about Canada remaining a separate country, rather than becoming a cherished and beautiful 51st state, paying much lower taxes, a free and powerful military, no tariffs, and having a booming economy.
“Wayne and Janet, his wonderful wife, love Canada, and they should only support Canada, and whatever else makes the Canadian, and Governor Justin Trudeau, happy.”
