Multiple people have reportedly been killed after a large vehicle ploughed through a crowd of revellers on New Orleans’ famous Bourbon Street in the US.
New Orleans Police Department said that a truck may have run down the group on the famous street. It was unknown how many people were killed or injured, but unconfirmed reports on social media suggested a “mass casualty” incident.
The incident occurred around 3.15am local time at the intersection of Bourbon Street and Iberville.
Emergency services, including ambulances and vehicles from the coroner’s office, were reportedly at the scene.
