Nando’s enthusiasts are buzzing over the new bottomless treat to savour after their peri-peri chicken – their very own ice cream.
The restaurant chain has unveiled a fresh summer menu – featuring three salads, a novel wrap, a new dessert, and even Peri-chicken gravy. Also making its debut on the menu is an extra large wing platter – with 15 wings of your choice plus two large or four regular sides.
Joining the menu to provide relief from the summer heat are two Quencher drinks – including a cloudy lemonade flavour as well as strawberry and dragon fruit. While Nando’s is renowned for its chicken dishes and extensive range of sides, they certainly haven’t overlooked dessert.
The chicken brand, boasting 465 locations across the UK, was known for serving frozen yoghurt as a post-meal treat but now they’re swapping the yoghurt delight with a soft serve ice cream. The vanilla ice cream, crafted with Jersey cow’s milk, is “perfect for cooling off after a plate of Peri-Peri”, according to a Nando’s spokesperson.
Customers can indulge in the ice cream at a Nando’s restaurant or take it away, costing you £3.
Nando’s announced: “Introducing Bottomless Soft Swirl. We’re saying bye to Frozen Yoghurt and hello to soft serve ice cream. Get it at all our restaurants across the UK and Ireland, for eat-in and collect. Grab a waffle cone or tub, head to the machine and fill it.”
Food enthusiast and customer, Zoe-Nicole Laureano, known as @razofoodie on Instagram, recently tried the soft serve at a London Nando’s and was thoroughly impressed. She exclaimed: “Nando’s has won my heart over their bottomless soft serve on their new summer menu! Keeping this short and sweet, but I actually had three massive servings of this and it was all for £3? ! Bargain.”
This revelation left ice cream aficionados gobsmacked and rushing to their nearest Nando’s. “I need to try this,” one person declared online. Another warned: “This is dangerous news for my waistline and I am here for it.”
One individual decided to ignore the news, stating: “Going to pretend I didn’t see this because I’m on holiday soon.”
“Love it,” another fan wrote. Zoe-Nicole also shared video clips of her tasting the new treat on her TikTok, which garnered over 44,000 views.
One viewer commented: “I got this and it tastes so good toooo.”
“I’d have about ten in one sitting,” another confessed. “I need to go ASAP,” one other person chimed in.
Nando’s confirmed that the ice cream is available until further notice in all of their restaurants around the UK and Ireland. “It’s here for a good time and hopefully a long time,” Nando’s said.
